Dr. Red Alinsod serves as Medical Director of Revique Medical & Aesthetics in Arlington, Texas, bringing decades of specialized experience in urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and aesthetic gynecologic care. He is also the founder and director of The Alinsod Institute for Aesthetic Vulvovaginal Surgery, his independent surgical and educational practice, which operates from the Revique location. Dr. Alinsod performs his specialized surgical procedures through the Alinsod Institute.
Dr. Alinsod completed his medical training at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1990 and went on to serve a 12-year career in the United States Air Force, including four years of active-duty service at George and Nellis Air Force Bases. Throughout his career, he has practiced in Southern California, Nevada, and Texas, establishing his base in Arlington, Texas.
With more than 28 years of international teaching experience, Dr. Alinsod has played a significant role in advancing the fields of cosmetic gynecology and aesthetic vulvovaginal surgery. His internationally recognized educational program integrates pelvic reconstructive surgery with aesthetic principles, and he has trained physicians and instructors from around the world in specialized surgical techniques.
Dr. Alinsod co-edited Female Cosmetic Genital Surgery: Concepts, Classification and Technique, a textbook for plastic surgeons and gynecologists. He also founded and chaired the Congress on Aesthetic Vulvovaginal Surgery (CAVS), one of the longstanding educational congresses dedicated to this specialty.
Throughout his career, Dr. Alinsod has developed and introduced numerous surgical techniques, medical devices, and approaches to women's intimate wellness. His work includes advancements in labiaplasty, clitoral hood reduction, perineoplasty, vaginoplasty, and treatments addressing urinary incontinence and other pelvic floor concerns. He is also known for his contributions to the development of ThermiVa and the O-Shot speculum, among other innovations.
His areas of specialization include aesthetic and reconstructive gynecologic surgery, non-surgical feminine restoration, stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, atrophic vulvovaginitis, orgasmic dysfunction, vulvar dystrophy, and the management of menopausal symptoms.
